Quiet luxury is the most claimed positioning in luxury hospitality. It is also the least verified. Every property description uses words like ´tranquil´, ´secluded1, and ´private´. None of them have been independently measured.

The Quiet Luxury Seal exists to close that gap. Every criterion in our framework is expressed in units that cannot be disputed - decibels, lux levels, ratios, documented polices. We do not certify intentions. We certify conditions.

WHY STANDARDS MUST BE MEASURABLE

Each pillar is independently audited. No pillar can compensate for anothert.

THE FIVE PILLARS

The QLS certification operates on a 100-point scale across the five pillars. To receive any tier of certification, a property must achieve a minimum of 80 points overall AND a minimum of 70% within every individual pillar. No single strength compensates for a fundamental failure.

Pass/fail requirements. Failure on any mandatory criterion within a pillar results in automatic pillar failure, regardless of scored performance.

Evaluated on a 0–3 scale: 0 = absent · 1 = partial · 2 = meets standard · 3 = exceeds standard. Contributes to the pillar percentage score.

Additional points for exceptional practice. Cannot compensate for mandatory failures but can elevate a score toward Distinguished or Pinnacle tier.

Awarded to fewer than 5% of certified properties. The highest independently verified standard in hospitality discretion. The full weight of QLS authority.

HOW AUDITS ARE CONDUCTED

Every QLS audit involves two independent evaluators working separately: a technical inspector (acoustic measurement, physical inspection, document review) and a trained mystery guest (minimum 3-night anonymous stay).

Both reports go to a three-person independent review panel. The panel issues the certification decision and score.
