The QLS seal has three commercial functions for certified properties:
The seal provides an externally verified answer to every OTA, advisor, and revenue conversation: our rate reflects a verified standard, not a claimed one. When the market pressures rates downward, the QLS certification is the documented reason a property does not move.
Certified properties are introduced directly to relevant luxury travel advisors within 30 days of certification. QLS works with Virtuoso, Signature, and leading independent luxury agencies to position certified properties as the verified reference for privacy-conscious HNW clients.
Certification is a news event. QLS coordinates your announcement with luxury travel editors at primary luxury travel titles — earned coverage, not paid placement. Each certified property receives a QLS Media Kit at point of certification.

SIX STEPS TO CERTIFICATION
Application & Track Selection
Submit your application. Select your track: Intimate (≤50 keys) or Estate (>50 keys with verified spatial separation). Initial eligibility screening within 5 business days.
Self-Evaluation
Complete the full pre-audit self-evaluation in ARMATURE, our certification platform. Upload supporting documentation. Automated gap analysis provided within 5 business days.
Technical Audit
An independent QLS technical inspector deploys to your property for a minimum of 3 nights. Acoustic measurements across all room categories, lux testing, material audit, privacy inspection, document review.
Mystery Guest Stay
A trained QLS mystery guest conducts a minimum 3-night anonymous stay. Behavioral scoring across all service and environment criteria. Technical audit and mystery stay may be separated by up to 90 days.
Review Panel
Both reports reviewed by a three-person independent panel. Full written certification report issued within 10 business days of the panel decision.
Certification & Activation
Seal awarded for 24 months via Accredible digital credential. QLS Media Kit produced. Media and advisor introductions made within 30 days. Annual strategic check-in at 12 months.
From application to digital credential — typically 8 to 12 weeks.
INTIMATE OR ESTATE
QLS certifies two property types. Both are held to identical standards — differentiated by spatial configuration, not by rigor.
INTIMATE TRACK
≤ 50 guestrooms or suites. The primary certification track. Properties qualify on room count alone. No spatial separation documentation required beyond standard site inspection.
ESTATE TRACK
> 50 keys with verified spatial separation. For properties with independently accessible villas, distinct wings, or significant land buffer between units. Requires the QLS Estate Spatial Index (ESI) assessment.
